Final Prints + Case
Augmented Reality Posters
One of the outcomes I wanted to produce was augmented posters, as I felt they could give a different dimension to my project instead of just being able to physically touch the images and pull back the layers.
For this, I used a website called ZapWorks, that has an app called Zappar, which means I can easily upload my image, place a code on the photo and then upload a video that overlaps when scanned through the app.
I decided I only wanted to create 3 posters instead of all 5 as I felt 5 was too many and used the stronger 3 images and overlays for the posters.
Each poster has a unique code which brings up their own video that loops and plays over the top.
Below as the video animation over the poster design, though through the app they are looped.
Binding Photos to Acetate
With the photos, I tested out how the binding would work with nylon tread with thick paper (200gsm) and a few layers of the acetate. This was to find out if I would be able to bind the images myself and if the nylon was going to hold without tearing the acetate on top. I then made sure all of the layers were in the right order before binding and cutting.
Laser cutting the case
for the case to keep the images safe, I decided I wanted to create a small box that had the name of the project laser cut through, so it was possible to see the project through the box. This was reasonably simple to do as it was only lettering.
I also painted the box with black acrylic paint to keep the case cohesive with my prints.

Final selected Images
Experiment Twelve // Lighting Studio – Take two.
The second time in the lighting studio I found worked better as I was able to get the same framing with each of the images, which means that for my final photos they all look cohesive. I also made sure to shoot in all portrait image as I wanted them all to be portrait style images for the final prints. I booked both the black and white studios so I was able to use both spaces and get the images I wanted from both.
Experiment Eleven // Lighting Room 1st shoot
One of the main things I took away from these experiments is how important the right lighting is for portrait photography. Because I had never really done studio portrait photography before, I was quite unaware of how important lighting situations were until the first experiment in the Lighting studio with Marcos and Dominique.
The first experiment was really informative, though I was underprepared for my role in being the model as I was very unaware of how to create images using my expressions.
I also realised after taking the photos that I needed the images I was going to use to all be in similar framing as it wouldn’t work properly as a series of images. This meant that I needed to use the lighting studio again but was more prepared for what exact images I wanted to produce were to look like. We also tested in both the white and black studio, which gave for very different effects to the Images.
